Some of us, I mean the softball players, decided to go swimming in the Superior (Calumet Water Works) to beat the heat down on this sunny, bright, warm and humid day. Driving into this park from Calumet is a rare treat to the eyes, as one can, if she/he knows what to look for, can see Isle Royale Island - and Superior waters above one’s eye-level. That’s mostly the fun I had as water was at like freakin’ 55 F cold. It only took few steps into the lake to beat the heat down and start freezing us. Having driven all the way, I decided to take a dip while couple other brave-hearts spent much longer time. It wasn’t until about half-an-hour later that my body got rid of numbness but it still was fun..
