Nikon D70s — First Shots

2006.06.11 @ 12:19:56 -0500 under  Camera

Thanks to FedEx personnel delivering the camera on a Saturday, I got to try it out a bit and following are some of the first few shots. I used +1, +2, +3 and/or +4 macro filters (add on filters, not lens) for some of the close-up shots. Not entirely happy with the quality of the result (especially those of close-ups) but a 105mm macro lens costs nearly $1,000 (yeah, one thousand dollars). That will keep my temptations on a tight leash and make me use these filters instead… By the way, if you have a grand or two to spare, you know what to do with it :D

First eight of them were shot in the neighborhood of Upper Daniel Heights in Houghton while the last two, as you might have guesses, were shot in McLain State Park.

G, I think those are pretty good with the filter. Don’t worry…you’ll be a pro with this camera in no time. :)

I hate to confess that I might be crazy (which I am) but with Nikon, I am *feeling* that I am shooting the pictures…

@amy,
thanks for help with Photoshop and I will bug you more with time…

@Rashmi,
Sorry, if Nagesh is spending lot of time on chat owing to my bugging him…
