20037 Shot, 4744 Survived

2007.02.17 @ 13:08:55 -0600 under  Camera, Photography

No, this not a massacre of some kind - but just thought it would catch your attention. Since my purchase in mid June 2006, I have shot 20,000+ (yeah, twenty thousand) pictures with my Nikon D70s - shooting DAPCEP IT workshop & Bridge Festival in Houghton Graduate & Church League Softball in Summer 06, shoot-at-sight things in India (Aug-Sep 2006), some wilderness in Pacific NorthWest, Fall Colors & Winter in Upper Michigan, portraits of my friends, and sports in Michigan Tech.

I am proud to say nearly 5000 of them have survived the test of my eyes and post-processing skills (as trained by many dear friends and their priceless suggestions). Though I would love to improve the survival rate (currently less than 25%), I am kinda satisfied with what I have. If you have time and are eager, you may check some of them here or all of them there.

Congratulations! 25% is far from the “I got lucky!” rate of one or two percent. You’re selling them now too, which is fantastic!

@Soumya,
Thanks - hopefully, survival rate will increase before my camera’s shutter dies off…
