This is one thing which I just can't do. Taking pictures of people. I have done this before but nowadays I'm bit scared. Do you take permissions while taking these pictures? If not, then do you think it'll be an issue if the person sees this photo. I think legally it won't be, when you take photos in public. I'm just too paranoid about these American laws.

When I see some candid opportunities as this one, I try to stay as far away as possible and use the power of zoom to capture it. But, I do speak with them as soon as I am done taking the picture, explaining why I did what I did and check with them if they would have any issue if I used it to enhance my portfolio.

6 our 10 agree usually - the reminder of times, I just delete those pictures right away, right in front of them :) People are paranoid everywhere - I have got the nod to shoot as well not to shoot in at least 5 different countries. But being honest and telling them my motive as is has worked more often than not.
